How do I buy NEXUS?
- Go to the NEXUS homepage, click the "Buy now" button and select the edition you want.
- Enter your payment details and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.
- Once the payment is processed, your products will be automatically added to your account.
How do I change my e-mail?
Open a ticket and tell us your new e-mail address.
Are reFX products 32-bit or 64-bit?
All of our plugins and apps are 64-bit only.
Is my computer compatible with your plugins?
Our minimum system requirements are listed at the bottom of the following page.
I no longer want to receive your newsletter.
Either click on the link located at the end of each newsletter or head to your account page, and toggle off the switch next to "New products, updates, and sales."
I've placed an order but I can't find my purchase.

I would like to change the password for my reFX customer account.
Visit the login page, click on "Forgot your password?" and then follow the instructions on screen. If you're already logged in, then head to the account page and select "Reset password."
Do you have any discounts available?
Yes, we offer bulk discounts on NEXUS expansions. Once you add NEXUS or any NEXUS expansion to your cart, all additional NEXUS expansions you add will automatically receive a discount.
We also offer a Bundle Builder, which provides excellent value when purchasing bundles of 5, 10, 15, or 25 expansions.
In addition, we run site-wide sales a few times per year. Since sale dates can vary, we recommend subscribing to our newsletter to stay up to date on upcoming promotions.
Can I purchase your plugins second-hand?
Yes, NEXUS and VANGUARD owners are permitted to sell their licenses second-hand, but they must first contact us to initiate the transfer process.
Simply sharing account details with the new owner is not permitted and may result in the licenses being suspended. If in doubt, contact us for clarification before buying a second-hand license.
Can I purchase your plugins from another website?
No, NEXUS and VANGUARD are exclusively sold by reFX Audio Software Inc.
We do not sell our plugins or expansions through any third-party retailers or websites.

NEXUS
Can I upgrade to NEXUS5?
If you own a NEXUS2, NEXUS3, or NEXUS4 license, you can upgrade to NEXUS5. Simply make sure you are logged on to your reFX account and you will find your personalized upgrade offer on the NEXUS5 page.
I purchased the starter edition of NEXUS, can I upgrade to the one of the bundles?
Yes, the Bundle Builder automatically applies an additional discount to the bundle if you already own NEXUS.
If you would like to upgrade to the complete bundle, please open a ticket and our staff will assist you with the upgrade.
Does NEXUS require a USB-eLicenser?
No, NEXUS does not require a USB-eLicenser or any other 3rd party hardware or software. It does require an internet connection to activate.
Can I use NEXUS while being offline?
Yes, after the initial activation, NEXUS can be used indefinitely without an internet connection.
How many computers can I use NEXUS on?
NEXUS can be activated on up to three of your computers at once, so you can easily switch between your desktop and laptop.
How can I manage my activations?
Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the page, then select "Activations." There, you'll see a list of all activated computers and have the option to deactivate any if needed.

Can I still load projects in which I used a previous version of NEXUS?
Yes, NEXUS5 is fully backward compatible. All of your existing projects will automatically load NEXUS5 in place of the previous version.
Can I load third-party expansions in NEXUS?
Yes, NEXUS can load third-party expansions.

Can I use NEXUS expansions without owning NEXUS?
No, you cannot use NEXUS expansions without first purchasing and installing the NEXUS plug-in.
These expansions are designed to enhance your existing NEXUS library and cannot be used independently.
What are Legacy expansions?
Expansions marked as 'legacy' are older NEXUS expansions that have been permanently discounted.
They are fully compatible with NEXUS and continue to be supported.
VANGUARD
Is VANGUARD2 backward compatible?
Yes, VANGUARD2 is backward compatible. After upgrading to VANGUARD2, your projects all load using the upgraded VANGUARD instead of the previous version.
How do I install VANGUARD2?

What is the reFX Cloud App?
The reFX Cloud App is a tool for downloading, installing, and managing your reFX products. It is available on your "downloads" page if your reFX account holds a NEXUS or VANGUARD license.
Please refer to the manual for more information and to the changelog for recent changes.
I receive an "Unable to connect to refx.com" error message when logging into the reFX Cloud App on Windows.
TLS 1.2 must be enabled in order to connect to our servers.
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard.
- Type in "Internet options" in the search field and press Enter.
- Click on the "Advanced" tab at the top of the pop up window.
- Scroll down to the "Security" section.
- Check the boxes next to "Use TLS 1.1." and "Use TLS 1.2" and then click "Apply" near the bottom of the window.
- Restart the reFX Cloud App and you should be able to successfully log in now.
